2006 was again a remarkably successful year for the Quest. Held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre on 25 November 2006, the circus-themed Gala Awards Night drew an audience of over 400 with an unprecedented level of support from corporate sponsors, including principal sponsor Honda Australia.
Jenifer Jiang was crowned Miss Chinese Community Quest Melbourne 2006 and was also awarded the Miss Photogenic title. Jenifer will go on to represent Melbourne at the Miss Chinese International 2007 in Hong Kong. Other title winners were as follows:
First Runner-Up: Emmy Cui
Second Runner-Up: Hoe-Ping Lo
Miss Charitable: Irene Fung
Miss Friendship: Sandy Kirkman
The 2006 Quest raised money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation with the 12 contenstants raising money from the sale of "pink ribbon" merchandise along with other individual initiatives including a Crispy Crème donut drive and a designer sunglasses auction. A fundraising walkathon was also held at Westerfolds Park with over 100 participants.
